Houston, TX (December 27, 2020) – One man has lost his life as a result of a two-vehicle collision on Friday morning in Harris County. During the early morning hours of December 25, the police, firefighters, and paramedics in Houston were called to assist at the scene of a vehicle collision along Bellfort Avenue.
Local news reports show that a 29-year-old male in a white GMC Sierra and a 24-year-old in a white Chevy Silverado were both stopped at a red light on Bellfort Avenue near Hobby Airport. After the light turned green, the two vehicles accelerated, causing them to collide with one another. The impact of the crash caused the vehicles to fall down into a nearby bayou on the southeast side of Houston.
The 24-year-old driver was fatally injured as a result of the crash. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 29-year-old male was rushed to Memorial Hermann for the treatment of injuries. He faces potential charges for intoxication manslaughter.
