Houston, TX (December 28, 2020) – An auto accident reported early Monday morning claimed one man’s life in the Houston area. Just before 2 a.m., on December 28, emergency crews were called to the scene of a crash on US Highway 290.
Reports from the Harris County Constables with Precinct 4 show that a crash involving three vehicles took place on US Highway 290 near West Tidwell Road. The impact of the crash caused one man to be ejected from his vehicle. The man landed in the eastbound lanes of US Highway 290.
After landing in the road, the man was struck by the vehicle of a Harris County Constable Deputy from Precinct 4, who was transporting a suspect from a previous incident to an area jail. The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other injuries reported in this accident.
At this time, investigations surrounding the collision are underway.
