Houston, TX (December 23, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident on Tuesday evening in the Houston area claimed the lives of two people, according to local news sources. Just before 10:30 p.m., on December 22, the Houston Fire Department was called to the scene of an accident to assist victims.
Reports show that a wrong-way driver was traveling north on the southbound lanes of the new 288 toll road near the 610 intersection when they crashed head-on with a second vehicle. The impact of the crash caused severe damage to the vehicles.
One of the involved vehicles flipped over as a result of the incident. The two women inside the vehicle were fatally injured. Both victims, who were said to be in their early 20s, were pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this time, investigations surrounding the accident are underway with the police in Houston.
