Harris County, TX (February 2, 2021) - A fatal car accident took place in Harris County in the early morning hours of Monday, February 1. Reports indicate that the crash occurred shortly before 3:00 a.m.
According to authorities, the collision happened on Highway 290, east of Farm to Market 1960 in Northwest Harris County. A Chevrolet and a Nissan Rogue were involved in an accident that took the life of one individual.
As of approximately 4:00 a.m., all eastbound traffic on Highway 290 was directed to exit at Eldridge/West Road. The roadway was closed for approximately three hours while emergency responders worked to clear the scene.
An investigation into the circumstances of the accident is currently being carried out by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
