Multi-Car Accidents in Houston
If you have been injured in a car accident and the insurance carrier has denied your claim for legitimate damages, you might have to file a personal injury suit. Depending on certain factors, such as how many vehicles were involved in the accident, the process can be complicated. It is in your best interests to secure reputable legal representation before you take any action.
In a personal injury suit, you could be eligible for any combination of three kinds of financial compensation: punitive, non-economic, and economic.
Punitive damages are intended to act as a penalty for particularly negligent or malicious behavior and in no way correspond to the value of any specific damage. Noneconomic damages are intended to compensate victims for intangible damages whose cost cannot be calculated. Economic damages are intended to compensate victims for damages for which there is a real and specific cost.
