Harris Co, TX (July 15, 2021) - The death of a pedestrian on the morning of Thursday, July 15th along the North Freeway feeder road forced the closure of all northbound lanes of traffic in north Harris County.
Authorities stated that the accident took place at about 5:00 a.m. in the area of Vista Drive and Richey Road in Houston.
Reports show that a driver was heading northbound along the feeder road when a young male allegedly “suddenly appeared” in the roadway. The driver told deputies that he attempted to swerve but was unable to avoid hitting the pedestrian.
After the crash, the driver pulled over and determined that the victim was dead.
Deputies shout down the North Freeway feeder road in the area of Vista Drive while they investigated the cause of the accident.
The victim has not yet been identified. The driver involved is not likely to face any charges related to the accident.
