Houston, TX (July 20, 2021) - A two-year-old boy lost his life on Sunday, July 17 in a fatal car accident in Houston. His family’s vehicle was hit by a wrong-way driver, according to reports.
The wreck was reported to have taken place on US-59. A woman traveling in the wrong direction collided with a vehicle carrying a family of five.
The toddler’s four family members sustained serious injuries in the crash and were transported to local hospitals for further care as needed. Their names have not been released at this time.
Paramedics rendered emergency aid to those who were hurt at the scene. Extensively injured patients were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
Traffic was delayed in the area in which the vehicles collided while responders worked to secure the scene and assist those with injuries.
Delays in traffic occurred for an extended period of time in the area where the wreck occurred.
