Fatal Motor Vehicle Accidents in Texas
Riding a bicycle is often viewed as a safe and effective alternative to both walking and driving automobiles. Not only do bicycles provide effective transportation for riders, but they are also extremely cost-efficient. Regrettably, riders on bicycles are extremely vulnerable to serious and life-threatening injuries in collisions. The majority of victims sustain injuries that force them to undergo emergency surgery and spend months in recovery. Although we would hope that every victim is able to overcome their injuries and move forward, this is not the case. Each year, more than 3,600 people lose their lives in collisions throughout the state of Texas. Riders on bicycles may account for a small portion of victims, but these preventable accidents continue to have an overwhelming impact on families across our state.
Although there are very few things worse than the loss of a loved one, knowing that they died as a result of another person’s negligence makes the situation even more emotional. Although money cannot replace the lives of those taken away so suddenly, having the financial resources necessary to move forward after a loss can help alleviate some of the stress families endure. Working with a responsive and effective wrongful death attorney in Houston can help to ensure you are in the best position possible after experiencing the tragic loss of a loved one.
