Houston, TX (May 1, 2021) - Police in Houston are currently investigating the circumstances of a crash that occurred on an interstate at around 2:00 a.m. on Friday, April 30. The wreck was reported to have occurred on I-45 between multiple vehicles.
According to information from officials, a car was stalled in the main lanes of Interstate 45 when a GMC SUV driver struck it while attempting to pass by. The SUV driver stopped his vehicle and attempted to cross the frontage road when he was struck and killed by an unknown vehicle.
The driver who struck the man did not stop to render aid or wait for authorities to arrive. Police are still investigating the circumstances of the collision.
Paramedics and other responders were dispatched to the scene of the incident shortly after it occurred. Once they arrived, they found that one person had lost their life due to being struck by a car. Their name has not been released at this time.
