Houston, TX (September 12, 2021) - Just after 3:00 a.m. on the morning of September 12, a fatal traffic crash took one life and trapped two others. The incident was reported on the Southwest Freeway feeder near Fountain View, according to reports.
Sources indicate that the accident happened when a suspected drunk driver ran a red light on the northbound feeder road. The woman slammed her vehicle into another car, according to information provided by the Houston Police Department.
The driver of the vehicle that was struck by the woman lost their life at the scene. A passenger present in the vehicle suffered critical injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. They required extrication from the wreckage by fire crews, reports indicate.
A third person was stated to have sustained injuries, however, no further information has been released concerning the details of the incident. The names of those involved have not been released.
