Houston, TX (September 14, 2021) - In the early morning hours of Sunday, September 12, a fatal traffic collision took one life and injured another. Shannon Deville was pronounced deceased at the scene while April Ward suffered injuries in the crash.
According to preliminary investigative reports, the incident occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m. Sunday when a red Ford pickup was rear-ended by a Chrysler sedan. The Ford was stalled in the road at the time of the crash.
The driver of the truck told investigators that the male driver and two female passengers in the sedan were all alive when he left the scene to get help. However, the Chrysler was rear-ended by a maroon Dodge pickup shortly after the man left.
Upon the arrival of first responders at the crash site, they found Shannon Deville deceased in the backseat of the sedan. April Ward, who was riding in the front passenger seat, was transported to an area medical center in unknown condition.
Reports further stated that the driver of the Chrysler fled the scene before the second collision occurred. Authorities in Houston continue to investigate the details of the wreck.
